With Valentine's day coming up I figured I'd post an oldie but a goodie for those of us who would rather just forget this time of year. Enjoy....
Was It Really Love?
At first you meet a
special someone
And everything seems to be
fine
You both claim to love
each other
And that you’ll be
together ‘til the end of time
Things begin to change as
time goes on
But the changes are so
small
You really don’t notice
them at first
Until you miss a few phone
calls
Then you begin to notice
the differences
And you wonder what went
wrong
You don’t’ know what
happened
But you know that
something needs to be done
So you try to do what it
takes
To keep the love you
worked so hard to attain
But not matter what you do
You realize it is all in
vain
Eventually the
relationship ends
And to move on you need a
push or shove
Then you find yourself
asking the question
“Was It Really Love?”
